Orwell Park is committed to providing education for boys and girls in a truly co-educational environment. Since the School became fully co-educational in 1991, girls have been a vital and vibrant part of the Orwell Park community. Our personalised approach to learning ensures that we pay particular attention to the different academic requirements of girls in the 11-13 age range enabling them to reach the senior school of their choice through Common Entrance or Scholarship.
There are active sports programmes for girls throughout their time at Orwell Park. The opening of the School’s Astroturf pitch during the autumn term 2006 - only the second to be built by an Independent Preparatory School - will provide a real boost for hockey in the School, and will help to build on the considerable success of girls’ hockey at the School in the last two years.
Girls thrive in the wide ranging music and drama opportunities.
