Orwell Park School has an enviable reputation for music with all pupils participating in class-based weekly music lessons. The school provides regular opportunities for pupils to perform weekly assemblies and every child from Reception upwards is given the opportunity to learn a musical instrument – for example, piano, violin, recorder, harp, guitar, cello or double bass.

There is a very busy Junior School choir and a Strings group which both meet once a week. In the summer term a series of concerts take place for all classes featuring both individuals and musical groups.
