Day children at Orwell thrive alongside the boarding community enjoying the full range of fantastic activities which are open to boarders and day children alike.  Day children at Orwell can arrive as early as 7.15 a.m. and feel welcome for breakfast and they can leave as late as 7.30 p.m. and enjoy supper and activities. (There are no extra charges for breakfast or supper.)

The School days starts at 8.00 a.m. and goes through to 3.30 p.m. with games or activities until 5.00 p.m. Parents can collect their children after 5.00 p.m. except for Wednesdays and Saturdays when the School day concludes at 3.30 p.m

Many children who start their Orwell Park careers as day children follow their boarding friends and gradually enjoy staying may be one or two nights per week,  others are quite happy to go from Form I to Form VI as day children.  What is right for one may not work for another; the ability to be flexible and understanding each individual child is what makes the School community work so well.
