Old Orwellian Day is a special day held annually on the second Saturday of May.  Both Old Aldeburians and Old Orwellians from every era are welcome to attend with their families for lunch and to participate in the day’s events with an opportunity to wander round the School and meet pupils and staff.  Younger children are welcome to join in the day’s activities and crèche facilities are available for families with young children (under 8 years) in the Junior School.  10th May 2008 Old Orwellian Day 2008 Orwell Park School The highlight this year will be an Old Orwellian v Old Orwellian cricket match.  For more details and a list of who will be attending please click here Old Orwellian Day 2008   12th May 2007 Old Orwellian Day 2007 Orwell Park School, Suffolk Nearly 100 Old Orwellians and their families attended this year’s Old Orwellian Day.   The day started with a Memorial Service in Nacton Church celebrating the lives of Sylvia and Brian Belle, followed by the planting of a Sweet Chestnut Tree overlooking the cricket ground.   Some Old Orwellians who were returning for the first time were able to reminisce with old acquaintances.  One former pupil was returning for the first time in 60 years!  Those that return each year enjoying seeing old and new friends too.   During lunch, current pupil Jack Dolbey read his very amusing speech about the pros and cons of being short which had won him the Public Speaking Competition.  Head Boy, Toby Skailes and Head Girl Lucy Ronan spoke of their memories of Orwell Park as they continue their education at senior school next year.   The Headmaster Elect, Mr Paul Forte was present, speaking to many former pupils during the day.  At lunch he spoke of how much he was looking forward to joining Orwell Park in September.   Please click here for Photographs and Attendee List.
