On Tuesday 23rd November, Orwell Park was proud to hold a reunion for veterans of the Desert Rats who were stationed at the School before the invasion of Normandy in 1944.  The event was attended by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall.  In all, some 18 veterans made the journey to Orwell Park.  In one case Jimmy Sinclair from Scotland and at the age of 98.  HRH was welcomed by the Headmaster and Mrs Constantine, Head Boy and Head Girl: Rory Farquharson and Pheobe Swiderska.  After a service of remembrance and  much time spent chatting to veterans and children, HRH left for another engagement at Ipswich Hospital.  Those remaining were treated to a musical entertainment and tea.
