Welfare
Boarding is a happy experience and part of the unique childhood which Orwell Park offers. The quality of care is excellent: in the most recent Ofsted Inspection, boarding provision was considered "outstanding". All those involved in boarding care (Houseparents, Matrons, Cooks, Cleaners) are totally committed to the welfare and happiness of the boys and girls. Food is appetising and healthy. Dormitories are bright, spacious and clean.
The health, welfare and pastoral care of boarders is of paramount importance. The quality of healthcare provided by the school doctor and matrons (senior matron is a qualified nurse) is excellent. Parents will be kept well informed if their son or daughter is unwell at school.
