Eita and Jim, 2 of our most recent year 8 leavers have been shortlisted byThe Furniture Makers’ Companyfor the School Design Prize and have been invited to exhibit their work at the Young Furniture Makers Exhibition where the final judging will take place.
The Young Furniture Makers Exhibition will take place onWednesday 12 October at Furniture Makers’ Hall and the Dutch Church (EC2N 2HE) from 3-8:30pm.
Joe Earley, Eita & Jim’s Design & Technology teacher emphasised that‘Eita’s design evolved organically, he has made a beautifully finished table that can be useful for various scenarios in living space. Excellent dedication was shown from a talented young student.’
He noted that Jim’s design showed a‘high level of technical ability has been demonstrated by a very bright young man, it was a complicated design to resolve.’
