Part of the Benenden Family of Schools

Orwell Park is part of the Benenden Family of Schools and, as such, enjoys a close and mutually supportive relationship with Benenden, one of the world's leading independent schools. Since our merger in early 2026, Orwell has benefited from investment in our OrWellbeing Hub and a number of other projects. Pupils at both schools have participated together in Sport and The Arts, with many other events planned. Staff share expertise and knowledge ensuring best practice across the curriculum, in pastoral care and in co-curricular activities.

With an excellent record of strong transition to all senior schools, including Benenden, Orwell Park prepares every child to thrive both within and beyond school life.

Why Choose Orwell?

Wellbeing and Pastoral Care

The wellbeing of every pupil shapes all we do.

Our commitment to the Academic and Co-Curricular life at Orwell is fundamental. We also recognise that pupils' wellbeing is the key to enjoyment of their education, and it is this focus on happiness and balance that builds the strongest foundations for confidence and success.

Flexible Boarding Options

At Orwell we are proud of our commitment to boarding and the sense of community this engenders at the heart of our school.

There is a range of boarding options here at Orwell for families to explore. We have a vibrant full boarding community, predominantly made up of children from overseas but not exclusively so: forces families, families from London and further afield all benefit from our seven day a week provision.

We also offer weekly and flexible boarding options to suit individual family's requirements.

Academic Success

It is easy to judge academic success by the number of scholarships awarded to senior schools, an area in which Orwell has always excelled.

Much more importantly, however,  is the value added nature of an Orwell education. Every child is an individual and the education of every child depends on an individual approach.

Academic success comes from knowing the pupils in our care and teaching them with their particular strengths and weaknesses at the forefront of our planning.

Aspire and Co-Curricular

A truly great education is about educating and developing the whole person.

Here at Orwell there are unparalleled opportunities for pupils to grow and learn outside the classroom in the fields of sport, art, drama, music and an understanding of the world around them.

Music and Performance

Music thrives at Orwell Park, with 90% of pupils actively participating. Whether performing, learning an instrument or singing together, children enjoy a rich musical culture that builds confidence, teamwork and joy.

A Glimpse into Orwell

Here at Orwell, childhood is celebrated every day. Our community is built on warmth, curiosity, and a deep commitment to nurturing every child’s potential.

From the laughter that fills our classrooms to the sense of belonging that shapes each pupil’s journey, this is a place where children feel known, supported, and inspired.

We invite you to step inside our world and experience the happy, vibrant school life that makes Orwell Park so special.
