About Orwell Park
Founded in 1868, Orwell Park School is a day and boarding school for boys and girls aged between 2 and 13 years. We are located in the village of Naction, on the edge of Ipswich in Suffolk.

Through our Pre Prep, Prep and Upper Prep, Orwell Park creates a supportive pathway where children flourish, childhood is cherished, and pupils leave confident, capable, and fully prepared for senior school.

Founded in 1868, Orwell Park School has grown from a small Victorian preparatory school into a thriving, modern community where tradition and innovation sit side by side. Set in stunning grounds overlooking the River Orwell, the school’s rich history is woven into daily life—from its iconic observatory to the character and warmth that define our close-knit community.

Scholarships are a particular strength at Orwell Park. In the last academic year, 89% of pupils were awarded scholarships across 12 different senior schools, spanning a wide range of areas including academic, art, design & technology, drama, music, and sport.
